Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our terms and conditions. By making a booking with ProLine MTB you are deemed to accept and adhere to our Terms and Conditions.

 

Uplifts 

 

DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC THE USE OF FACE COVERINGS ON THE UPLIFT IS MANDATORY

 

Cancellation and amendment policy

 

Cancellation by client

Cancellations by the client before 14 days prior to the uplift commencing are refundable minus a £5 fee. Cancellations within 14 days of the uplift are non-refundable, however the booking can transferred to another rider free of charge up to 48 before the uplift.

 

Cancellation by ProLine MTB

In all circumstances, ProLine MTB will endeavour to make sure your day goes ahead as planned. In the unforeseen event of a course cancellation we will refund 100%.

 

The Unexpected

Occasionally we may be required to cancel the uplift at short notice for operational or safety reasons (e.g. snow/ice/fallen trees, high winds). Should this situation arise we aim give as much notice as possible.

 

Minimum numbers 

We require a minimum number of riders in order to run the day and reserve the right to cancel the uplift if the minimum number is not reached. A full refund will be given in such circumstances and ProLine MTB Ltd cannot accept liability for any additional costs incurred.

 

Rider name changes

Please inform us which rider is being replaced, and the full name of their replacement. Please ensure that the new rider completes the Acceptance of Risk before they arrive at Caersws bike park.

 

General terms and conditions

  • All bookings made online will be charged to your account at the time you make your booking. You will receive a confirmation email.

  • From time to time some trails may have to be closed for routine maintenance work - we will try and give you the most up to date information of any closures on the day of your uplift however this cannot always be guaranteed.

  • Full-face helmets are mandatory. If you do not wear one whilst riding, you will be asked to forfeit your uplift pass, with no refund.

  • Caersws DH Bike Park and ProLine MTB Coaching will take no responsibility for any items left unattended strongly advise against bringing valuables with you.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure your bike is securely loaded on the uplift, any questions please ask.

  • Caersws DH Bike Park and ProLine MTB determines an adult as over 18 years old.

  • Caersws DH Bike Park and ProLine MTB reserve the right to change their Terms and Conditions at any time.

Uplifts are provided via an external provider. We will and can not be held responsible for bikes placed onto the trailers by yourself, you are responsible for securing your own bike and should also be vigilante of any other bikes that may not be secured and may cause harm to yours. Should a bike suffer damage then you should inform an event official, and identify the trailer/reason for the incident. any claim if upheld  will be against the trailer owner and not ProLine MTB or its agents. It's your bike you should be happy to secure it yourself and safe in the knowledge that it will be safe and secure at the top ready to ride.

 

Children/young riders

Children aged 16 years and under, must always be accompanied by an adult (over 18). If a booking is made for a person under the age of 18 you must notify Caersws DH Bike Park and ProLine MTB as soon as you book, notifying us of who will be accompanying them. A parent or guardian will be required to sign an acceptance of risk form.

 

Acceptance of Risk

YOU ARE ABOUT TO TAKE PART IN A HIGH-RISK ACTIVITY. YOU WILL MINIMISE THIS RISK BY FOLLOWING THE SAFETY RULES AND ADVICE IN THE MOUNTAIN BIKERS RESPONSIBILITY CODE AND THE MOUNTAIN BIKE AND EQUIPMENT CHECKLIST. IF YOU DON’T FOLLOW THE SAFETY RULES AND ADVICE YOU INCREASE THE LIKLEHOOD OF A SERIOUS ACCIDENT, WHICH COULD BE FATAL.

  • I understand that Mountain Biking is dangerous and includes substantial obstacles, which can be physically testing. I accept that there is a risk of injury and death when undertaking such activities.

  • I understand that I must wear a full-face helmet and knee pads at all times and that a full-face helmet, eye protection, body armour and gloves are highly recommended.

  • I agree that I will follow the Mountain Bikers Responsibility Code at all times

  • I agree to check my bike and equipment as per the Mountain Bike and Equipment Checklist at the start of the day, before each run and after any crash.

  • In the unlikely event of an accident, or loss or damage to my personal effects, I acknowledge that the company, its sponsors and any associated parties will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage or injury arising from or in connection with the uplift.

  • I certify that to the best of my knowledge I do not have a medical condition which might have the effect of making it more likely that I be involved in an incident, which could result in injury to myself or to others.

 

Safety

It is important that everyone who uses Caersws DH bikepark takes note of the following Health and Safety advice:

  • Mountain Biking, like any extreme sport, is dangerous and includes substantial obstacles, which can be physically testing. There is a risk of injury and death when undertaking such activities.

  • Always perform a recce ride of any trails you intend to ride; trails change with weather conditions and from continual trail amendments and improvements, do not assume they will always be exactly the same each time you visit.

  • Follow the Mountain Bikers Responsibility Code

  • Children aged 16 and under need to be supervised by a parent or guardian (over 18 years of age) at all times

  • You must ALWAYS wear a full-face helmet and knee-pads. We also strongly advise you wear eye protection, gloves, and body armour.

  • Read and adhere to all advice signs while using the trails.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure your equipment is fit for purpose.

 

Mountain Bike Equipment Checklist 

The trails at Caersws DH Bike Park are rough, challenging, and demanding on both bike and body. We recommend you use and appropriately sized, modern, long-travel, full suspension bike, with good quality disk brakes.

 

Before riding always inspect your equipment or have it checked by a qualified bike mechanic and check for any damage after each run of the hill and especially after a crash however minor. If in doubt, don’t ride.

 

  • Full-face helmets are mandatory, ensure that your helmet is in good shape and properly adjusted. Gloves, eye protection, knee pads, and body armour are also highly recommended.

  • Inspect bike frame for cracks, damaged or dented areas.

  • Ensure you have sufficient brake pads to stop your bike while descending; two working brakes are mandatory and we highly recommend disc brakes for improved control.

  • Front and rear axles (quick release or bolt through type) should be tight.

  • Headset and stem must be secure with no looseness or play.

  • Check that your tyres are in good condition, with plenty of tread and no cuts or abrasions in the sidewall and that rims show no cracks or signs of weakness and all spokes are tight and intact.

  • Handlebar and handlebar grips must be tight and unable to spin, bar ends must be securely fitted.

  • Seat and seatpost need to be fastened securely.

  • Suspension should be in good working order with no leaks or loose parts.

 

Mountain bikers Responsibility Code 

 

  • Always carry a mobile phone with an ICE (in case of emergency) number installed and make sure it is charged. In an emergency call 999. If you have called an ambulance please inform ProLine MTB on 07972194232 so we can assist in guiding them to you.

  • Avoid riding alone, it’s safer and more fun to ride with your buddies.

  • Stay in control at all times. It is your responsibility to avoid crashing into other riders and objects around you!

  • Be respectful and aware of other riders varying skill levels, relax and have fun.

  • Do not stop on the trail. Pull off the trail in a safe place if you need to stop for any reason.

  • When entering a trail or starting downhill, you must look uphill and give way to other riders coming down the trail.

  • Even if you have ridden a trail before, be careful! We make ongoing changes and improvements to the trails and features, so they may have changed since your last visit.

  • Be aware that the bikepark trails are set in a mountain and forestry environment which poses risks including: trees, stumps, branches, brash, vegetation, exposure to fast changing weather conditions, steep slopes, rocky areas and outcrops, and exposed trail edges.

  • Trail conditions change with the seasons and the weather; mountain biking is an all-weather sport but respect the added challenge and risk that rain, ice, mud, dust and wind can pose to you. If it is windy, do not attempt jumps; keep both wheels on the ground and stay on the easier trails.

  • If a rider is hurt, do not move them, notify ProLine MTB immediately on 07972194232, in an emergency call 999.

  • Keep off closed trails and forest areas and obey all signs and warnings.

  • Do not push or ride up downhill trails.

  • Respect your environment; take your litter home with you!

  • Do not ride if your ability is impaired through the use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Be friendly, courteous and respectful to your fellow riders, poor conduct will not be tolerated.

  • Riders 16 years of age and under must be accompanied by a legal guardian (over 18) at all times.

  • Please be aware of and courteous to walkers, horse riders and other user groups.

  • Please help us maintain the park. If you see a problem on the trails report it to us.

  • Know your limits!

We want to make our services simple, useful, and reliable. We therefore, collect certain information or data about you when you use our website. This includes:

  • information on how you use the site, using cookies and page tagging techniques to help us improve the website

  • details to allow you to access our services and transactions e.g. an email address (you’ll always be told when this information is being collected, and it will only be used for the purpose you provide it for)

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
